The court heard from prosecutor Jo Fox that the 42-year-old had pursued a course of conduct which he knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of a woman, repeatedly sending her text messages and calls without response in a bid to restart their relationship in Shropshire between January 1 and 21.
Wrenn, of Foldgate Lane, Ludlow, was handed a 12-month community order and a 12-month restraining order banning him from contacting the victim by any means and from entering a street in Shrewsbury.
He was also fined £20 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £185 and a £114 victim surcharge.
