AN EXCITING programme of specialist town tours is set to start this month in Ludlow.

In addition to their regular programme of weekend walk-up town tours, the Ludlow guides are offering specialist tours on six Tuesday evenings.

Five will start at the canon outside Ludlow Castle at 7pm, but the first, on May 30, will start at 7pm at Ludlow's railway station.

The final two tours will be in-character tours with Cecile, Duchess of York and mother of the princes in the tower taking the tour on July 25, and Brother Michael of pre-reformation Ludlow taking the August 8 tour.

Tours cost £5 per head with children free and monies going to support historical research.
