A LUDLOW Land Rover driver has been ordered to pay hundreds of pounds and has been handed penalty points by a court after he was caught out using his phone while behind the wheel on a busy main road.
Jonathan Robert Scott was proven guilty of one count of using a handheld mobile phone or device while driving a motor vehicle on a road by magistrates at a court hearing in Worcester in May.

The court heard from the prosecutor that the 36-year-old driver had been caught out using a handheld mobile phone while behind the wheel of a Land Rover Discovery on the A49 in Ludlow, Shropshire, on October 28 last year.
Scott, of Temeside in Ludlow, was fined £220 and received six penalty points on his driving licence for the offence.
He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and an £88 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
