A TRIP back in time is promised in a Shropshire town this spring.

Bishop’s Castle Heritage Resource Centre, which is owned and run by the House on Crutches Museum Collection Trust, is presenting a series of illustrated talks this spring.

The talks will begin on Thursday, May 18, when John Rimmer is set to take the audience back in time to discover Bishop’s Castle, Then and Now.

Using historic photos, the talk will visit Bishop's Castle over three centuries and see how much has changed, and how much hasn’t!

There will also be a chance to contrast Victorian and Edwardian scenes with those of the fifties and sixties and bring things right up-to-date with shots of the town as it is today.

Bishop’s Castle Town Hall hosts the talk which commences at 7.30 for an 8pm start.

Admission is £5 and refreshments will be available. Tickets are available in advance from the Town Hall by contacting 01588 630023
