Tiger Woods continued celebrating his birthday into the new year as he bagged a couple of big fish on a boat trip.

Woods, who was 42 on Saturday and is better known for claiming an albatross or two on the golf course over the years, turned sea bird on Monday and then proudly held up his prize catches – a cobia and an amberjack – which were almost half his own size in a post on his Twitter account.

The 14-time major winner had started just three events since August 2015 before launching his latest comeback after spinal fusion surgery with a promising return at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas four weeks ago.

And on Friday he promised “something big” in the next phase of his playing career this year as he began 2018 on a positive note at sea.
