TENBURY Ladies head into the Christmas break with a much needed 1-0 victory over Pershore, a result that lifted them up to mid-table in Division One of the Worcestershire Hockey League.
Tenbury began well and good work down the right saw the ball crossed for Emily Moseley.
Her attempt was saved by the Pershore keeper but captain Abi Davis pounced to steer rebound into the bottom left corner.
The home side had chances to extend their lead at the break including two penalty corners but failed to take their opportunities.
Pershore were more determined after half time and it needed excellent defending from Emma Reddock, Lindsey-Aldridge Bufton, Cat Mumford, Jo Turvey and Fern Bowkett to keep them at bay.
