Tenbury United 6 Wolverhampton SC Reserves 3

AFTER making a lethargic start to the game, United came to life in the second half.

They turned a deficit at the break into a comfortable win against the bottom side in Division 2 of the West Midlands League at Palmer’s Meadow.

Tenbury found themselves 2-0 down after 20 minutes of sloppy football.

They did improve in the second quarter and managed to pull a goal back before the break when Luke Brittain scored from an Ashley Botwood corner.

After receiving a wake-up call at the break, United looked a totally different side in the second half, and they led 3-2 within 10 minutes of the restart.

They went on to double their tally with the Black Country side pulling a goal back towards the end.

Lee Millichip, Chris Breakwell, Mike Foster, Sam Williams and Chris Patton scored the goals.

Nicky Stocker missed a penalty, but made amends by dribbling around the Wolves keeper to lay on one of the other goals.

Dawley Villa 3 Ludlow Town 1

ALTHOUGH they were missing key players, Ludlow, who had beaten their hosts 14-1 on the season's opening day, still had enough possession and chances to win the game.

They were sloppy at both ends of the pitch on the day, in what was a typical end-of-season performance, and gifted Dawley their first win of the season in the Premier Division of the Shropshire League.

This result ends Town’s outside chance of pinching runners-up spot, and leaves them needing to win one of their two remaining fixtures to finish in third spot.

Ludlow went behind early on and conceded a second from the penalty spot before Dale Hodge pulled a goal back before the break.

Town dominated the early part of the second half, but failed to convert a string of chances.

They conceded a third goal towards the end.
