DURING one of the most challenging periods of their history, Woofferton’s dismal season in Division 1 of the Hereford Times Herefordshire League continued with a severe drubbing at second-placed Bartestree.
Unlike in the previous two matches, manager Steve Wall was at least allowed the luxury of not having to play in this latest reverse, but Bartestree were able to take a 3-0 lead into the interval.
Woofferton goalkeeper Wayne Roberts did not enjoy the best of days.
The stopper injured his back in the first half when colliding with a post.
He played on in some discomfort but relentless attacking by the home side gave him little chance for respite and obliged him to bend down and pick the ball out of the net five more times in the second half.
