KIM Simm proved that she enjoys playing golf throughout the winter at Ludlow Golf Club by lifting the Winter Eclectic trophy for the second time in a row and for the third time in the last four years.

The eclectic competition runs throughout the winter season when players record their best scores achieved for each hole of the course during general play and club competitions.

The best scores are then totalled to produce a player’s “dream round” score. This year Simm’s gross 69 nett 63 secured her the Division one trophy while Pam Reynolds lifted the Division two trophy with a gross 75 nett 62.5.

Ludlow ladies are celebrating their victory in the third round of the national Mail on Sunday golf tournament. Playing in near gale-force conditions, the team battled against a strong team from Church Stretton at home, securing a 3-2 win to take them through to the fourth round.
