LUDLOW RFC head coach Mikey Jones believes his side have rid themselves of the fear factor ahead of Saturday’s derby-day trip to Whitchurch.

Jones admits the Linney men might have suffered from an inferiority complex against their rivals down the years but believes they are more than a match for them now.

“In the past, there might have been a bit of fear about going there,” said Jones. “But we are past that now and we have proven we can go there and compete well.”

Ludlow begin the new year sitting two places and 11 points above Whitchurch and beat them 19-12 in the reverse fixture earlier this season.
