DEANDRE YEDLIN has been included in Newcastle United’s 25-man Premier League squad – but there is no place for outcasts Achraf Lazaar, Christian Atsu, Henri Saivet or Rolando Aarons even though they are still on the Magpies’ books.
That means Newcastle will be paying more than £100,000-a-week to players who cannot represent them until at least January.
Long-term injury victims Matt Ritchie and Dwight Gayle have been included in the squad, suggesting both have a chance of returning before the end of the year.
Steve Bruce had hinted that Yedlin could struggle to make the squad list as the Magpies also have Emil Krafth and Javier Manquillo at right-back, but despite having been made available for transfer earlier this month, the American survived the cut. Newcastle tried to move on Lazaar, Atsu, Saivet and Aarons this month, but were unable to secure a deal.
