SHAWBURY United manager branded his side’s performance “not good enough” after a heavy home loss to Wolverhampton Casuals.
United were trailing 1-0 when they had a goal not given, despite boss Declan Allen protesting it was “a foot over the line”.
The 5-0 defeat means Shawbury remain fifth bottom of the West Midlands Premier Division.
Allen said: “The bottom line is we just weren’t good enough and when we reviewed the game afterwards everyone accepted it was not a performance a Shawbury United player should put in.
“Casuals deserved to win the game but we had some key decisions go against us at key times, including having a clear goal not given, which would have made it 1-1.
“When you find yourselves near the bottom, you don’t get that bit of luck and we really need a stroke of fortune right now.”
