WOOFFERTON climbed to fourth in Herefordshire Division Two last weekend – but manager Dane Pearce says the “bitty” nature of a rain-hit season means he doesn’t really know where they stand.
A Nathan Hardisty double and a Will Caswell goal beat bottom side Dorstone 3-1 to put Woofferton just two points behind leaders Hereford Pegasus Colts.
But with December in sight and most sides in the division having only played four, five or six games, Pearce says the table is yet to take shape.
Pearce, whose side hope to visit second-placed Kington Town Reserves this weekend, groaned: “This season is just very bitty and it’s all weather-related so there’s nothing anyone can do about it.
“Our pitch was 50/50 last Saturday but we were desperate to get the match on just so we could play two games in a row.
“We still don’t really know whereabouts we are in the league as there’s barely been any games played."
