UNBEATEN Division One champions Ludlow Town Colts start a new chapter this weekend when they kick off their season in the Premier Division of the Herefordshire League.
And joint manager Mark Tomlinson knows it will be a much tougher task particularly after changes both on and off the field.
Tomlinson and George Sankey have taken charge of the side after title-winning boss Scott Mackenzie stepped down in the summer and there have also been changes on the field.
“Last season was a good one with us going unbeaten but we know it’s going to be a lot tougher this time,” Tomlinson explained.
“We have lost a couple including Dan Griffiths but we’ve brought in three or four including Kieron Hollis from Orleton who has been banging the goals in in pre-season.”
Colts open their campaign with a trip to Holme Lacy on Saturday with reigning champions Clee Hill United starting their season at home to Bartestree Reserves.
Thompson added: “We played Clee Hill in a friendly and they are a good side. Anyone who finishes above them will win the league.”
