BISHOPS Castle, Church Stretton and Corvedale suffered defeats ranging from narrow to emphatic in the Shropshire League.
Castle looked set for victory after dismissing ten-man Iscoyd & Fenns Bank for 151 in Division Four as Andrew Lewis (3-15), Thomas Moulder (2-18) and Richard Langford (2-31) impressed with the ball.
But Castle fell 15 runs short in reply, all out for 136, with Jack Perry (46), Simon Palmer (27) and Lewis (21) their top performers.
Also in Division Four, Church Stretton were unable to build on the foundation laid by openers James Warburg (53) and Saif Khalid (31) as they lost by seven wickets at home to Wheaton Aston.
Stretton limped to 157-7 off 40 overs, a target Wheaton passed with seven overs to spare at 158-3, Khalid (2-33) topping the bowling figures for the hosts.
Corvedale remain just outside the Division Six relegation zone after Stephen Pym (172) and Steven Froggatt (100) led visiting Shrewsbury thirds to a whopping 391-2.
Despite a blistering 82 off 43 balls from Glyn Tipton – featuring six sixes and ten fours – plus Chris Moore’s 61, Corvedale were unable to get anywhere near, finishing 154 runs short on 237-5.
