SIMON Bradley took half of the honours on offer as double winners Ludlow Town Colts rounded off their season with the club’s annual awards night.

Bradley was named Players’ Player of the Season and Manager’s Player of the Season as well as winning Colts’ Goal of the Season award.

Among the others honoured at the event, held at Ludlow Stadium, were Nathan Priday, who won Supporters’ Player of the Year, and Jack Gittoes, who was named Young Player of the Season.

Dan Griffiths claimed the Leading Goalscorer gong while thanks were given to secretaries Katrina Tonkinson and Graham Gould, as well as fundraisers Lynsey Cox and Charlie Francis.

Colts secretary Gould paid tribute to the team, who went unbeaten throughout the league season, winning 16 games and drawing six to finish 14 points clear at the top of Herefordshire Division One.

In addition, the team, managed by Scott Mackenzie, won the Herefordshire Junior Cup, beating Ledbury Town Reserves in April’s final.

Gould said: “Thank you Colts for what you have given to your club - Ludlow Town Juniors FC – and to your team. A massive well done to all the players and team coaches.

“You have won the Junior Cup, HFA County League One and were unbeaten in the HFA County League all season.

“We could not have asked more from you all. You should be so proud of your achievements and success this season. Now let’s look forward to the Premier Division in 2019-20.”

The club have also announced that they will be fielding two sides in next season’s Herefordshire League.

With Colts promoted into the top-flight, the club has decided to enter a second team, Ludlow Town Colts Reserves, into Division One.
