“I’VE never known anything like it,” admitted Tenbury Rugby Club chief Andy Black as he praised the backing from the town during the club’s run to the Midlands Junior Vase final.
After a crowd of more than 350 witnessed the defeat to Mellish, director of rugby Black said: “I’ve been at Tenbury a number of years and I’ve never known us to have crowds like this.
“They got behind the team and the weather wasn’t brilliant but, through the wind and rain, they stayed."
