CLEOBURY’S Stable Tavern claimed the league and knockout cup double for the first time at finals night in The Rock and District Darts League.

Stable captain Dave Farmer led his side to the double as the Tavern defeated Cleobury Social Club in the cup final to add to their league crown.

There was more silverware for the Stable in the doubles final as Razz Worrall and Nick Jones beat Brian Baldwin and Matt Sheehan.

That meant double disappointment for Sheehan, who also lost out in the men’s singles final to the big-scoring Brian Humphries.

Mother and daughter contested the ladies’ singles final, with bragging rights going to Marg Morris, who hit the crucial double against her daughter Marnie.

Richard Lewis from Shelsley Social Club lifted the Captains’ Cup with Marg Morris taking runners-up spot.

Cleobury Social won the trebles, beating Shelsley Club in the final, while Nick Jones and wife Laura beat Mike Morris and Tina Bickley in the mixed doubles final.

Top shooter prizes throughout the season went to Ollie Green (170 start) and Mark Griffiths (120 out).
