CLEE Hill produced a disciplined performance to claim a 13-0 shut-out win at basement side Essington in Midlands Four West North.
The win keeps Clee fourth in the table ahead of their final game before Christmas, at home to third-placed Linley this Saturday.
Richard Wozencroft’s penalty was the only score of a scrappy first half as Clee Hill led 3-0 at the interval.
The visitors were indebted to Steve Adams who made some excellent tackles to prevent the hosts scoring in the opening period.
After the break, skipper Sam Link’s try gave Clee Hill some breathing space and, 15 minutes from the end, Matthew Bowen touched down to seal victory
