CLEOBURY Volleyball Club Ladies’ tough season continued at Hereford on Friday, with a 3-2 reverse.
But Cleobury coach Carl Brookes says the side’s position in the table after three matches is deceptive.
“We’ve played two very good sides, in Tamworth and Hereford, and we should never have lost to Redhill,” said the coach, adding: “Redhill were the better side on the day but I would never have expected us to lose that.”
The ladies had a swift chance to kick-start their West Midlands Volleyball League Division One campaign with a planned home game against Birmingham University on Tuesday.
The men, who visit Birmingham Met in the West Midlands Cup on Sunday, lost 3-2 at home to Nuneaton in Division Two of the West Midlands League last week.
Cleobury Ladies’ 2nds won 3-2 at Telford on Sunday, and host Wombourne 2nds next Tuesday.
