LUDLOW RFC have the quality and the drive to win the Midlands West Two (North) title this season, the task now will be fulfilling that promise, according to skipper Matt Davies.
The captain spoke of his disappointment that Saturday’s opponents Leek were able to get “under the skin” of his side after the break, with the hosts having dominated the opening 40 minutes, but professed himself content with another bonus-point victory.
Number six Jim Alderson led the way with two tries in a man of the match display at home as the hosts eventually posted a 40-19 victory, even if the win proved a harder task than it had appeared it would be at half time.
“They came out, second half, with a gameplan to get under our skin a bit and rile us, and we let them,” said Davies.
Ludlow - who sit second, a point behind Tamworth - visit Wolverhampton on Saturday.
