NEIL Shillingford has challenged his Dudley Kingswinford players to build on their North Mids Cup success over Midlands Premier side Bournville.
DK won 35-19 away last Friday night to book a clash with Bromsgrove on November 10.
It was the nature of the success that pleased Heathbrook's director of rugby.
Shillingford said: "It was very pleasing. We set our stall out so that it was all about our performance rather than the result.
"We just focused on getting the performance right.
"We did that and it was our most complete showing of the season so far.
"It also came in tough conditions and so we had to play those as well as the opposition.
"The players realise that we have been underperforming even though we've been winning but that changed on Friday.
"We now have to carry that forward into the league this weekend."
DK host basement boys Longton this Saturday (3pm kick-off)as they look to cut the gap to the early Midlands One West pacesetters.
"We have a great opportunity on Saturday against a struggling Longton side," added Shillingford.
"We can't take them lightly and must now focus on repeating our performance against Bournville.
"It's also about being ruthless as well. That is something we also want to improve now."
Jordan Brookes missed the Bournville game but should be available this weekend.
Joe Dunn, 18, came into the side in his absence and could keep his place after an impressive showing.
DK will have to do without scrum half Connah Jones after he picked up a head injury.
