LUDLOW Town Ladies still await their first win of the Midwest Counties Female League season despite an impressive display in defeat at reigning champions Hereford Lads Club Ladies.
Lads Club clinched the title last season, winning 16 of their 18 matches, but Ludlow matched them for much of the game and were unlucky to come away empty-handed.
First-half goals from Amy Reynolds and Sarah Bishop ultimately proved decisive to leave Ludlow with one point from their opening three games, which came from a 1-1 opening-day draw at Droitwich.
Ludlow will hope to pick up that first win this Sunday as they travel to Wyre Forest Phoenix who have lost both of their opening two games.
