LUDLOW Golf Club men’s captain Alan Reid held his captain’s day in perfect conditions with Will Norton claiming the coveted Captain’s Prize with 40 points.
Norton finished two shots ahead of Ray Reynolds and David Davies, with the former’s better score on the back nine securing runners-up position.
And it was a family affair as Norton’s brother-in-law Neill Smith also claimed silverware, with victory in the Vice-Captain’s Prize for best gross score with 32 points, just one shot ahead of Andy Ferriday.
Rising star Tara Rodenhurst beat all comers to claim the Ladies’ Prize with 36 points; Allen Hunt was the best senior, with 33 points; and George Barker claimed the Juniors’ prize with 30 points.
