CHURCH Stretton were looking to extend their impressive current form into their final West Midlands League Division Two game against Warstone Wanderers on Tuesday.
Paul Smith’s side made it nine games without defeat with a midweek 3-3 draw at Bewdley Town Reserves and a 1-1 draw at high-flying Gornal Colts on Saturday.
A late equaliser denied Stretton all three points against Bewdley after a Matty Jones effort and two from Jordan Wells had handed them the lead. And they also had the better chances on Saturday but managed to score just once through 16-year-old Ellys Brayne.
Ludlow were also set to complete their league fixtures on Tuesday with a match at Bewdley Town Reserves. Luke Hicks’ side suffered a third straight defeat on the road in midweek when they went down 4-3 at AFC Broseley.
