TENBURY Ladies wrapped up their season with a 2-1 defeat of Worcester 2nds in Division One of the Worcestershire Womens Hockey League.
They started strongly and pinned their opponents in their own half with Abi Davis securing an early lead to give them the confidence to play high and keep the pressure on their visitors.
Tenbury struck again from a well-worked short corner which picked out Lindsey Aldridge-Bufton on the post and she made no mistake.
Worcester also netted before the break to give the home side a slender lead going into the second half.
Tenbury had plenty of short corners in the second period but failed to convert them but with Joey Turvey, Terri Mumford and Alice Bufton typically strong and reliable in defence, they hold on for victory and a fifth place finish.
