LUDLOW boss Luke Hicks is hoping to avoid another free Saturday after the weekend’s Shropshire Challenge Cup clash with Coven United was postponed.
His side already faces a busy run-in to the end of their West Midlands League Division Two campaign but frustratingly, the 15-team set-up has meant his players may be kicking their heels again this weekend.
“There’s always one team without a game and it’s our turn this week,” Hicks explained. “We still have nine league games to go before the end of April so we are trying to re-arrange our cup tie for Saturday.”
If Ludlow make it through their quarter-final they will face Oakengates Athletic in the one semi-final with Market Drayton Town Reserves awaiting the winner of the Shrewsbury Juniors v Rock Rovers tie in the other.
Experienced trio Alan Williams, Danny Crowther and Jamie Hammonds are all available again after injury.
