HEREFORD manager Pete Beadle says it's nice to be four points clear at the top of Evo-Stik South, with two games in hand.

The Bulls beat St Neots 1-0 on Tuesday night thanks to a 54th minute Dara O'Shea goal.

However, some tough games do await in the next few weeks.

First up are Weymouth this Saturday, before Hereford go to Hitchin Town the following week.

Then after facing bottom club Gosport Borough, second-placed King's Lynn Town arrive at Edgar Street on March 10.

"The four points gives us a bit of breathing space because we have the two games in hand, but it would be nice to keep the gap a bit bigger," said Beadle/

"But we know it's going to be tough.

"We've got another tough game on Saturday, then another one the Saturday after that.

"They're a big couple of games for us then we've got King's Lynn coming here.

"All we can do is keep focusing on things game by game and make sure everyone is fit to go again on Saturday."

Beadle was pleased with the performance against St Neots, especially during the second half.

"I thought we were a little bit off it and slow in the first half in terms our tempo because we never really had any zip to our play," said Beadle.

"But in the second half, we started great and got the goal before gradually starting to wear them down a bit.

"And again, we could have added one or two more to the tally, but we didn't get there.

"But it's a great result because their front four are a handful and a re coached really well.

"So to keep them as quiet as we did meant it was a really solid performance again."

Beadle brought Pablo Haysham back into the fold at the expense of the injured Lance Smith, while John Mills was on the bench.

O'Shea and Jimmy Oates had headers cleared off the line in the first half, while at the other end, Lewis Irwin had a shot deflected wide.

O'Shea finally headed Hereford in from a Rob Purdie corner before Haysham, Purdie and Mike Symons went close.
