CHURCH Stretton manager Paul Smith, Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club's Dave Pain, Tenbury United joint manager Nick Stocker and Will Sparrow, the Ludlow RFC and Ludlow CC player, took the honours in the Advertiser sporting predictions competition for last year.

All four correctly answered two questions.

Smith, Pain and Stocker all said that Chelsea would win the Premier League and England would reign supreme in the Six Nations.

Sparrow also said that England would be champions, while correctly predicting that Rory McIlroy wouldn't win any majors during the year.

Darts professional Jim Williams only got one answer right – that Shrewsbury Town would finish in 18th position in League One.

Unfortunately, we are unable to run the same competition for this year.
