LONG-TIME members of Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club came out on top in a popular Yellow Ball competition.

Team competitions are extremely popular in the winter and the scoring during Cleobury’s recent event did not disappoint.

As with the Texas AM the week before, there were plenty of strong groups on paper but it was the team of Jez Duffield, John Westley, Glen Tramaseur and Bob Lucas that took the honours.

The quartet, who have been affiliated with Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club for some time, took top spot after shooting an impressive 131 points on the Stableford scores format.

The yellow ball counted double and the team full advantage of it with one hole getting them 11 points for their total.

All four players have enjoyed individual success at some point throughout the year and have now added team honours to their list of accomplishments.
