LUDLOW booked their place in the third round of the Midlands Intermediate Cup following an impressive 36-26 victory at Midlands Two West (South) side Silhillians.
It has been a tough start for Ludlow in the league – they have lost all three of their games in Midlands Two West (North) – but this win follows a 31-19 defeat of Evesham in the previous round of the cup.
It will be a return to league action on Saturday and a trip to Walsall.
Church Stretton had been due to face Chaddesley Corbett in the second round of the Midlands Junior Vase but were given a walkover into the next stage.
It was the same story in the first round against Stourport.
On Saturday they are back in Midlands Four West (North) League action at Bloxwich.
