MERTHYR Town manager Gavin Williams says he would love to resign Adam Davies from Hereford FC.
The Martyrs have put in an official seven-day approach for Davies, a player who left to join Hereford only last month.
"He's a player we're interested in, but I respect he's a Hereford player, so I've just got to wait for the outcome," said Williams.
"Maybe the travelling has been too much for him having to travel and an hour-and-a-half and back three times a week, but I haven't spoken to Adam yet, so I'm none the wiser.
"He's just a great little player and is definitely a player that interests me."
Williams confirmed that Merthyr would need international clearance should they agree terms to sign Davies.
