LUDLOW Hockey Club lost their first game this season when they went down 4-1 to Streetly in Warwick Printing West Midlands League Premier Division.
Ludlow took the lead with a well worked goal from Andrew Richards, but that resulted in Streetly getting stronger.
Martin Watts' team were unable to contain the opposition's fast-breaking forwards and conceded three quick goals before the break, with the home side adding another in the second half.
There was better news for Ludlow 2nd though as they hammered Wednesbury 5-2.
Wednesday twice took the lead, but Ludlow managed to edge the win with goals from Tom Aston (two), Jake Watts and Josh Rowson.
Ludlow 3rd drew 1-1 against Stafford in a Fathom friendly match.
Stafford included a seven-year-old boy in the ranks and took the lead before George Borns equalised for Ludlow.
Vicky Jones scored twice for Tenbury Ladies in their 6-0 emphatic win against Redditch in Worcestershire League Division One.
Abi Davies, Cat Mumford, Naomi Burgoyne and Rachel Croxton-Broome grabbed the other goals.
