Winger Levi Barber scored a hat-trick of tries as Tenbury resumed their promotion push with a 31-12 win at Harborne in Midlands Four West (North).
Skipper Pete Stevens said he couldn’t sleep after the previous week’s damaging defeat at Telford Hornets.
But he admitted Tenbury’s five-try display last weekend was a perfect tonic for his sleep deprivation.
Skipper Stevens said: “I had a lot of advice on how to get to sleep, but this victory was probably the best remedy.
“It has been a roller-coaster in recent weeks but the team are buzzing again.
“Will Morgan scored a wonder try - he sidestepped three players to touch down.”
Tenbury played down the slope in the first half and soared into a 26-0 interval advantage.
Andy Wilkes and Morgan also scored tries for Tenbury and Ben King kicked three conversions.
Tenbury make the trip to Ross-on-Wye in the North Midlands Vase third-round this Saturday.
“Ross are a strong team and it will be interesting to see what gap there is,” said Stevens.
“When we played them four years ago, they thrashed us at the Palmer’s.
“We have a vice-presidents’ day against Uttoxeter on March 2 and everyone will be playing for places.”
