HERE is your latest traffic and travel update for the roads in and around Worcester.

Lanes have re-opened on the M5 following an earlier incident in which wood was spilled onto the carriageway.

The road was closed on the M5 Southbound between J5 A38 (Droitwich / Wychbold) and J6 A4538 Pershore Lane (Worcester). Lane one (Of four) was closed.

The wood has been removed and traffic is moving again.

The A44 westbound in St Johns remains closed due to gas main work between Lloyds Bank and the B4485 until November 27.

The A4133 is closed both ways due to sewer works between Holt Fleet Road and the turn for Ombersley Memorial Hall.

Works are being carried out for the installation of a combined sewer and the connection to existing sewer.

This is the link to the village from the island by Checketts and the slip to and from the A449 Ombersley Bypass.

The road will remain closed until until August 28.

Finally, the A438 is closed both ways during the day time for resurfacing work between Clenchers Mill Lane (Eastnor) and the Hollybush car park for the Malvern Hills.

The work is affecting traffic between Ledbury and Tewkesbury between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday.

The work will continue until 5pm on August 7.
