A MAN has been handed a suspended sentence after admitting a number of offences.
Billy Lee Eggerton, of Much Birch, Herefordshire, entered a guilty plea when he appeared before magistrates in Kidderminster on July 9.
The court heard 28-year-old Eggerton had entered a garage at a property in Much Dewchurch as a trespasser with intent to steal on September 9 last year.
He also admitted stealing an Ifor Williams trailer worth £2,700 and a screwdriver from a property in Ross-on-Wye between February 17 and 18, and intentionally damaging a Mercedes Sprinter van at the same property.
Magistrates heard Eggerton was subject to a community order imposed by Cheltenham Magistrates Court at the time he committed the offences.
Eggerton was sentenced to a total of 24 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, was made subject to a 20 week curfew with electronic monitoring, and must pay a £128 victim surcharge.
No costs or compensation order was made due to a lack of means.
