THE first cricket of 2020 was seen in Worcester this weekend.

Pakistan's touring squad have been based at New Road and played an inter-squad warm-up game between themselves as they gear up for their series with England next month.

Day one of the warm-up saw good returns, with the PCB Green team finishing 318-8 from 90 overs.

Babar Azam found form before retiring on 82, while Abid Ali (71) and Mohammad Rizwan (47*) both also found form.

Shaheen Shah Afridi took 4-91 and Mohammad Abbas took 2-49.

Day two saw PCB White score 338-5 from 89.1 overs in their innings.

PCB White batsmen enjoyed a good outing in batting friendly conditions, Iftikhar Ahmed the top scorer with 86 off 137 balls.

He hit 14 fours and two sixes in his innings before retiring.

Opener Imam-ul-Haq scored 74 off 133 balls, striking 13 fours before retiring.

Shadab Khan remained undefeated on 51 off 62 balls when the stumps were drawn.

Sarfaraz Ahmed scored 40 while Fawad Alam chipped in with 37 runs.

Babar Azam, Musa Khan and Usman Shinwari took a wicket apiece for PCB Green.
