A BURNING pile of rubbish at the top of the stand at Worcester Racecourse has been extinguished by firefighters this morning.
Two fire engines were sent to Pitchcroft at 8.26am and the fire was quickly extinguished within 15 minutes.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the rubbish was on fire on the top tier of the stand, that overlooks the course.

The spokesman added they were unaware of the possible cause.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said they also attended while the fire was contained.
The spokesman added a man in the area at the time was also spoken to.
