A NEW home care provider has said it is creating new jobs to meet demand in Herefordshire.

Caremark Herefordshire and Forest of Dean are offering in-home care ranging from a few hours a week to live-in 24-hour a day care.

Despite the challenges of opening a business during Covid-19, managing director Dave Pickston and his team opened the business to fulfil a commitment to the local authority and community to help those in need of professional in-home care during these unprecedented times and beyond.

“After a long career in IT and Logistics, I have been closely involved in the provision of care for a number of close relatives at home and have put this desire for the highest standards of professional care and support, backed by Caremark’s systems and processes and ongoing support, at the heart of my business,” Dave said.

He is supported by experienced registered care manager Sally Soutar, a career care professional who developed an in-home care business in Brockhampton and went onto work for Herefordshire Council’s Adult Social Care Brokerage Team.

Sally is also committed to helping ex forces charities in the Herefordshire area and beyond.

“I’ve always wanted to help people and am passionate about social care in the community,” said Dave.

“I opened my business because I want to reach the most vulnerable people and genuinely make a positive difference to their lives’’.

Dave and his team will be providing services include personal care, domestic duties, shopping, companionship and live-in care.
