THIS detached home is the cheapest house for sale in Halesowen.

The three-bedroom house in Hillcrest Avenue is being sold at auction with a guide price of just £50k.

The Bond Wolfe auction will be held on June 24 and will be livestreamed on the firm's website with remote bidding by proxy, telephone or internet only.

The property, which needs modernisation, could be a real bargain as a home in the road sold for £196,950k in January this year.

It is off Lyde Green, near Cradley.

The sales notes state that it is a "vacant, freehold extended detached property" which is "stepped up from the road behind a driveway and foregarden."

It features a porch, hall, store, two reception rooms, dining kitchen and WC on the ground floor and a landing, three bedrooms, and bathroom and toilet on the first floor.

There is also a driveway, garage and gardens.

The sales notes go on: "the property benefits from having a gas-fired central heating system and UPVC double glazing, however it is in need of modernisation."

Viewings can be arranged but via appointment with the auctioneers.

The Government has updated guidance for England only to allow physically distanced viewings that carefully adhere to public health guidance.

Viewings must only take place with serious buyers who are genuinely interested in the property.

Initial viewings should be done online as virtual viewings.

When conducting physical viewings, they should be done by appointment only and open houses are not permitted.

If your home is being viewed, open all windows and doors prior to the viewing taking place and if possible, leave the property for the duration of the viewing.

Everyone involved must wash their hands prior to the viewing and handwashing facilities should be made available with separate paper towels if possible.

Estate agents will look to restrict the number of people present at the viewing in order to follow social distancing guidelines.

Once the viewing has finished, the homeowner should ensure surfaces such as door handles are cleaned.
