A SUSPECTED drug dealer high on cocaine crashed his car on the M5 near Worcester today before making a run for it before he was chased down by a police dog.

A spokesman for the OPU said: "The driver ran off and tried hiding in fields. A bit of running and containment with

@K999Cops (West Mercia Police Dogs). We have one in custody. He had been wanted since September 19 for drugs supply, had no licence and was under the influence of cocaine."

Officers from the Operations Patrol Unit also reported how a car overtook marked cars at 100mph between junction 5 (Droitwich) and 6 (Worcester) drove at that speed for 'several miles'.
