Printing is key to keeping information flowing in the communities served by local newspapers, and without it, there would be no printed paper every week.
The staff in these press rooms cannot work from home, their role, which they carry out daily, is totally hands on and Newsquest's crews, in Oxford, where the Hereford Times is printed, and three other centres, have been going above and beyond to keep the presses rolling, day and night, week in, week out.
Disinfectant breaks have replaced tea breaks and every button, switch, emergency stop and all press functioning controls, across all the towers is wiped down in place of having a quick brew.
Every handrail has to be disinfected along with each workstation, the smell of oil and ink is a distant memory as now the plant smells of lemon and bleach.
Posters adorn the walls reminding people to keep your space, and everything is passed between staff at a stretched arm's distance.
People who have worked together for years look like strangers as they avoid contact, proud to do their bit to ensure that communities get the information they need.
