DIAMOND Bus are extended their free travel period to help vulnerable people during the coronavirus outbreak.

A statement from Diamond Bus says: "In order to help support the elderly and those with disabilities access essential services during the coronavirus outbreak, Diamond Bus will accept National Concessionary Passes before 09:30am from Thursday, March 19 until further notice, in the West Midlands and Worcestershire concessionary boundaries.

"It is expected that many major supermarkets will open early for the elderly and disabled to be able to access essential items.

"We will support those who wish to travel on our services before 09:30 and accept their concessionary pass for free travel.

"Passengers are requested to scan their pass on the ticket machine as normal in order to travel free of charge."
