JOB seekers have a chance to learn more about careers at Avara Foods, Hereford, tomorrow (February 11).

A recruitment open evening is being help from 4pm to 8pm at the factory in Grandstand Road.

The event will showcase opportunities in the company’s engineering and hygiene departments, with Avara's experts on hand to answer queries about the different roles the firm has to offer.

Avara says visitors will learn about the company’s inclusive culture, its various career paths and routes for progression, as well as get the chance to see where they could be working.

The firm has opportunities from early careers through to senior positions including:

  • L3 Apprenticeship with a starting pay rate of £8.32 and guaranteed role to qualified multi-skilled engineer
  • Multi-skilled engineers
  • Night hygiene operatives
  • Weekend hygiene operatives
  • Total clean hygiene operatives

On the evening visitors can expect tours of the factory, the chance to taste some of the delicious products produced on the site, and the opportunity to meet with some of the firm's expert employees.

Richard Walden, site manager for Hereford, said: “This is a great way to learn first-hand about the engineering and hygiene roles we have available here at Avara.

“We’re a friendly team, and we’re always looking for new people to join us in helping keep our factory efficient and competitive.

"Anyone looking to learn more about working with us is welcome to come along and meet our colleagues.”

The open evening is at Avara Foods, Grandstand Road, HR4 9PB from 4pm to 8pm. Parking is free.
