POLICE in Alcester are investigating a bizarre case in which two men were trying to get people to look after a box of old knives - for a week for £2 per knife.

Two males entered a shop on High Street with a box of knives.

One of the males has tried to talk an employee into looking after the knives for two weeks on a sort of rental service at £2 per knife.

The box contained around 20 old kitchen knives.

The man was persistent but was eventually turned away.

Police have described the men as two 'youngish' white males.

The incident happened around 11.15am on Wednesday, January 8.

Anyone who has been offered a box of old knives, or who thinks they know the men, are being asked to call police on 101 quoting 0216 08/01/2020.
