The She Grrowls tour is coming to Worcester, offering an arty night out with a focus on feminism.

But what else can an audience expect?

A spokesperson said: "It starts with a growl – sometimes soft, sometimes loud – and a feeling of coming together to share in the experiences of womanhood in its various forms.

"She Grrrowls is a place to feel empowered and energised, whether in the pages of the book, or as the words come alive on stage."

The spokesperson added: "She Grrrowls gives voice to the experience of different women across England, collaborating with existing events across eight different dates and locations. Each night will feature a mixture of poets from the She Grrrowls alumni and a selection of new voices. Come growl with us!"

Carmina Masoliver, Founder and CEO of She Grrrowls said she is delighted to announce the return of the popular feminist arts night featuring poetry, comedy, music and everything in between. There are 8 UK dates between January and March 2020.

She Grrrowls was the idea of graduate Carmina Masoliver. At university she was a founding member of the UEA’s Feminist Discussion Group and Society. Returning to London Carmina missed the group and wanted to take an active role in positive change. As a poet, writer and performer, this seemed the obvious way forward, and She Grrrowls was born.

She Grrrowls believes that the definition of being a woman is decided by the individual. It is inclusive of transgender women, as well as those who are genderqueer and non-binary etc.

The date for the diary is Thursday, February 20, at the Boston Tea Party venue in Broad Street, Worcester.
