Norton Theatre Group return for their 34th pantomime, Goldilocks and The Three Bears.

The run will be from January 16 to January 18 at Norton Parish Hall.

But what's the plot, aside from bears and porridge?

A spokesman said: "Hidden underneath a rundown circus is an abandoned gold mine. Evil mastermind Lord Raven will do anything to get his hands on it but the heroic Jack also wants to find the gold for himself, but then he meets the Beautiful Goldilocks and his plans change.

"Will the gold mine ever be found? Will the Three Bears reveal its secrets? Will Dame Dolly find her seventeenth husband and get a proper job? Will Percy the Ringmaster ever cheer up? Will Jack ever get show off his knife-throwing act and will Goldilocks be able to save the circus from closing?

The spokesman added: "All these questions, and more might be answered as Norton Theatre Group take you on a crazy adventure of love, greed, bad jokes, great songs and circus fun.

"The show is written by Chris Bennion, directed by Natalie and Ian Ballard and produced by group founder Les Simms."

Scriptwriter Chris Bennion said: “I am honoured that Norton have yet again asked me to write their script this year. I think it’s hilarious with loads of good and bad jokes that will appeal to the entire family.”

One half of this years’ directing team, Natalie Ballard added: “Last year my husband Ian and I were the choreographers, this year we have taken over the show and we are directing as well. It’s a challenge, but the script is brilliant, and the show looks and sounds fantastic"

The show also welcomes "several wonderful new members to the cast and a new musical director Steven Bishop who brings with him over thirty years of experience in musical theatre, tribute and performing".

And why not come in Disguise, and win a prize?
