Following his successful debut with the Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra in November, Joe Davies , aged 22, will conduct the orchestra for a New Year Celebration concert in Pershore Abbey at 2.30pm on January 4.
Joe told us, “I’ll never forget the first orchestra I ever played in, the National Children’s Orchestra, The first programme included Strauss’s ‘Die Fledermaus’ Overture, which I’m looking forward to performing again with Worcester Philharmonic at our New Year’s Concert!
"It is such a good advert for orchestral music: virtuosic solos, gorgeous tunes, and a riot of an ending!"
Joe added: " It’s the first orchestral piece I fell in love with, and I'm sure the Worcester Philharmonic, with all their energy and enthusiasm will help everyone fall in love with it too!”
The programme also includes the Nutcracker Suite and Viennese waltzes.
What could be more festive and seasonal?
Tickets will be available on the door.
