AN IT specialist from a Worcester housing company is celebrating after winning a top tech award for the second year running.

James Mourby, who works for city-based Sanctuary Group, won the Bright Ideas Trophy at the KX User Forum awards, being praised for submitting a variety of successfully implemented ideas to Kinetic Software's online portal, where people who use its software can suggest improvements to its function for others.

He said: "I’m always keen to try and get the most out of software and to identify any areas where improvements can be made.

“It’s a real honour to win the award again and to know that the ideas I have shared are proving beneficial to others.”

Sanctuary Students, which is part of Sanctuary Group, uses a system developed by the organisation to manage room bookings and Mr Mourby regularly shares knowledge with other accommodation providers and supports Sanctuary in its day to day running of the software.

Lee Rawlinson, director of innovation at Kinetic Software, commented: “James is a great contributor and I’m really looking forward to working with him and the Sanctuary team to drive forward our system development, improving residential experiences across the sector.”
