A GORNAL man was ordered to pay hundreds of pounds in court costs after being found guilty of assaulting a police officer.

Christopher Reeves, aged 30, of Richborough Drive, Gornal, was found guilty of assaulting a police officer, at a hearing at Dudley Magistrates Court. He received a community order with a curfew and was ordered to pay compensation and costs totalling £400.

The following cases were also heard at Dudley Magistrates Court last week.

Adam Hennefer, aged 32, of Pearson Street, Cradley Heath, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for a breathalyser test. He received a community order and must carry out 150 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months. He was also ordered to pay costs and a surcharge totalling £225 and was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 17 months.

Nicolas Wilkes, aged 38, of View Drive, Dudley, pleaded guilty to driving over the legal alcohol limit. He was fined £517 and ordered to pay a £51 surcharge and £135 costs. He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 20 months.

Jane Edyvean, aged 55, of Parkside Road, Cradley, pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting a police officer at Russells Hall Hospital. She received a community order with a curfew and was ordered to pay compensation and a surcharge totalling £290.

Adrain Golea, aged 18, of Newcombe Road, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to stealing £92.55 worth of items from Co-Op in Stourbridge. He received a 12 month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay compensation, surcharge and costs totalling £248.55.

Robert Phillpott, aged 36, of Withymoor Road, Netherton, pleaded guilty to stealing £140.89 worth of toys from B&M. He was jailed for ten weeks due to offending while serving a suspended sentence. He was also ordered to pay a £122 surcharge.

Roxanne Garratt, aged 24, of Ivy Road, Dudley, pleaded guilty to drink driving on Foxglove Road and also admitted driving without insurance. She was disqualified from holding a driving licence for 17 months and was ordered to pay a fine, surcharge and costs totalling £427.

Anthony Howles, aged 47, of Green Street, Stourbridge, pleaded guilty to intentionally exposing his genitals to cause alarm or distress. He received a community order and was ordered to pay a fine and surcharge totalling £215.
